This professional-development webinar for Illinois educators is part two of an experience that will unpack what culturally responsive teaching entails and how Dr. Marlee Bunch’s book, The Magnitude of Us (Teachers College Press, 2024), relates actionable ways to implement and sustain culturally responsive classrooms.
The session will begin with a recap of part one and revisit the un/HUSH teaching framework. Participants will also begin thinking through an action plan to help them implement culturally responsive practices and lessons in their classrooms. Bunch and Dorlande Charles, of the Illinois State Board of Education, will lead the session to usher in culturally responsive teaching in actionable ways.
