Beyond Financial Aid: Bolstering Community College Pathways, Persistence, and Student Success of Low-Income Students

This keynote talk by Dr. Eboni Zamani-Gallaher, director of the Office of Community College Research and Leadership at Illinois, will highlight the effects of poverty on students education across the P-20 pipeline, paying specific attention to effects of homelessness and food insecurity on the enrollment and completion of marginalized and minoritized student populations. Dr. Zamani-Gallaher will also discuss the role that community colleges can play in addressing poverty to improve student matriculation and completion.
