This Twitter Chat will focus on key items regarding the dual credit/dual enrollment status in the state of Illinois. We will be discussing:
- The newly formed Illinois Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (ILACEP), which serves as the state chapter for the National Alliance dual credit organization NACEP and its upcoming summit on April 22 at Prairie State College;
- The issue of dual credit quality and access, particularly for underserved students;
- The new federal Pell Grant Experiment Site Initiative (October 2015), which would offer financial aid to eligible high school students for dual credit (dual enrollment) courses;
- Impact on dual credit programs across the state stemming from the current budget crisis.
