by Cathy Kirby / Dec 19, 2013

On December 10, the Transformative Change Initiative (TCI) hosted a meeting of third-party evaluators of TAACCCT Round One and Round Two consortia. The daylong Evaluation Collaborative meeting provided a forum for TAACCCT evaluators to discuss general topics related to documenting, measuring, and scaling innovations developed under the TAACCCT grant.

In addition, attendees heard from representatives from the Department of Labor and The Urban Institute, the federal evaluator of TAACCCT. The keynote speaker at the event was Jeanne Century, Director of Outlier Research and Evaluation at the Center for Elementary Mathematics and Science Education (CEMSE) at the University of Chicago. Based on more than 15 years of research, Dr. Century shared her “10 Considerations for Measuring the Spread and Endurance of Educational Innovations.”
