Advancing Racial Equity Through Workforce Partnerships

Event Type: Other

Kysha Frazier, a senior policy associate at Corporation for a Skilled Workforce (CSW), is helping lead an innovative partnership that strengthens workforce providers’ use of data to improve impact while integrating a strong racial equity lens. CSW is collaborating with the United Way, JOIN of Greater Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey, and Race Forward on a regional workforce learning community.

Service providers participate in coaching, technical assistance, and peer learning events currently focused on effective employer-engagement approaches. During the next six months, organizations are having conversations with regional employers that serve as a bridge to better understanding the needs of programs and employers and greater connections to communities of color.

During this webinar session, participants will hear about real-time community partnership-employer and worker-engagement strategies, as well as how to use competency profiles rather than traditional job descriptions for hiring and training.
