Politics of Identity Post-Obama: Obstacles to Access and Challenging Inequality in Higher Education

This symposium endeavors to engage attendees in considering the politics of identity, policy pendulum swinging, and the postsecondary landscape for racially/ethnically diverse students, faculty, and administrators. In particular, this session seeks to spark dialogue among the panelists and audience in discussing the challenges, opportunities, successes, and shortcomings of the Obama administration relative to advancing social concerns that bear influence on the betterment of educational and career trajectories for minoritized people of color.
