In recent years federal grant programs have had an increasing emphasis on creating projects and proposals supported by evidenced based practice as defined by the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC). Unfortunately, there just isn’t a lot of research specific to community colleges that meets the evidence standards of WWC. The session will highlight what works in relation to community colleges, how we can access this information, as well as, what we still need to learn about what works. The presenters will also explore strategies for community colleges to help build the knowledge base through grant proposals that are supported by the most current evidence and best practices in the field.
