Understanding racial campus climate is critical to advancing racial equity in Illinois community colleges. This is particularly relevant to CTE programs given historical and systemic racial equity gaps in high-demand, high-wage careers. A sincere institutional commitment to supporting students of color requires institutional actors to interrogate the racial campus climate. This Forum for Excellence session will provide information and resources relative to understanding how assessing racial campus climate can support efforts to advance racial equity in CTE programs.
