Student-Centered Culturally Relevant Pedagogies
The purpose of this presentation by Jason Kreist is to explore a philosophy and set of practices grounded in how best to serve a diverse student body. Participants will consider the intersectional social realities their students inhabit and how these positions affect learning and being in college. We will use culturally relevant pedagogy (CRP) as a theoretical foundation on which to develop strategies for engaging and nurturing students from marginalized populations.
