A New Day: Student Development Leaders Redesigning the Stage for Student Success and Completion

Community colleges have been focused on creating an environment that embraces the student success and completion agenda. Creating this environment encourages a variety of departments to collaborate and formulate solutions to ensure the student’s pathway from access to completion is seamless. The panel will discuss how their designated institutions identified the opportunities to redesign the student development role through the following perspectives: state system (Kentucky Community & Technical College System); multi-campus system (Tarrant County College and Cuyahoga Community College); and research, practice, and graduate preparation programs (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, College of Education).
