The Illinois Community College Board (ICCB), in collaboration with the Office of Community College Research and Leadership (OCCRL), will share updates with the field on the journey to evaluating and revising the statewide program approval and review processes. Presenters will offer historical context to these processes and will dive into the goals and objectives of both CTE High-Quality Program Approval Pilot Project funded by the Joyce Foundation and OCCRL’s external evaluation of the state’s program review process.
The presenters will also discuss the importance of building a culture of evidence that supports equity-minded, evidence-driven change as part of the program review process, and provide a summary of the results from the program review project. Lastly, the presenters will share the next steps as well as discuss upcoming professional development, technical assistance, and resources.
