Additionally\, she will argue that a movement fo r a new consciousness will require the development of racial literacies.\n Dr. Poon \;is an assistant professor of higher education leadership an d the director of the Race &\; Intersectional Studies for Educational E quity Center at Colorado State University. Her research focuses on the rac ial politics and discourses of college access\, higher education organizat ion and policy\, affirmative action\, and Asian-Americans. \nIn 2018 she c o-authored an \;amicus brief on behalf of 531 social scientists in sup port of race-conscious\, holistic review in the \;SFFA v. Harvard  \;federal lawsuit.
