The Global and Area Studies Summer Lab is part of a joint initiative between the Center for Global Studies, the International and Area Studies Library, and the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center (REEEC) aiming to promote the internationalization of education at Illinois and nationwide. Participants in the two programs will be invited to share their work and establish collaborations in a joint workshop that will take place on July 22. The workshop is part of the Global and Area Studies Summer Research Lab that runs from July 18 – 29th, with the workshop on the July 22. As part of the workshop, OCCRL staff will facilitate a session on the processes of equity minded change in community colleges focused on considerations of equity, partnerships, alignment, and scaling to support the development of the global competencies of their students.
