UPDATE Newsletter

The UPDATE newsletter was created in 1989 to publish research and information to a diverse and growing community college audience in Illinois and throughout the nation. Fall and spring editions are produced each year; each issue is focused on a general topic that is pertinent to our community college audience of faculty and administrators. In addition to the semiannual newsletter, OCCRL produces several Briefs that cover emerging issues and timely research. OCCRL staff conducts periodic surveys to determine topics of interest to our readership, and future editions are responsive to the results of that survey.

In 2002, distribution of the newsletter changed from print to electronic format. The ICCB and OCCRL announce new editions via listservs maintained in each office. The contents in the UPDATE newsletter do not necessarily represent positions or policies of OCCRL, the ICCB, or the ISBE.
